The huge economic and cultural inequalities between imperialist and semicolonial countries, and among classes within almost every country, are produced and accentuated by the workings of capitalism.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book or journal was very helpful to me because it explains why we have poverty in our planet. Global poverty is one of the most haunting realities concerning human behavior and history. We are very far away from eradicating poverty despite the many attempts by progressive governments and so-called progressive governments operating within the Capitalism system that has created such massive global poverty. This book will be interesting to anyone wanted to learn more on the issues concerning global poverty and what WE can do to work towards a more equal and just society. I definitely recommend this book.
The needs of the world, not one country

We are continually bombarded with propoganda about "saving energy." We pay higher and higher prices for gasoline, heat, and electricity. Yet, hundreds of millions of people around the world have no electricity and have never used a telephone. This book looks at politics starting with the needs of working class and its allies among farmers, oppressed people, and youth around the world, not in one country. Analyzing the latest discussions about energy and hunger and the ruling class drive for more wars and deeper attacks on workers rights and standard of living, this _New International_ charts an independent working class strategy for the only solution to these problems, a government of workers and farmers to bring power, food, and development to every country and build a socialist world.
Your World is My World, Your Problem is My Problem

African American revolutionary leader Malcolm X characterized those attending his January 1965 meeting in Harlem as internationalists, saying, "Our scope is broad, our scope is international, rather than national. Our interests are world-wide, rather than limited just to things in America or things in New York, or things in Mississippi." This same approach in 2005 is the basis of "Our Politi cs Start with the World" an indispensable tool for workers, farmers and democratic-minded people striving to make this a better planet. To look at your problem, whether in Iraq, Iran, Iceland, the United States, United Kingdom, Cuba, China, Russia or Romania, from the viewpoint of the interests of the world's working people is essential to getting on the correct track. The interests of the world's working people guided Marx and Engels, Lenin and Trotsky, and today guide Fidel Castro and the Cuban leadership. "Farming, Science, and the Working Classes" and "Capitalism, Labor and the Transformation of Nature" along with "A 'Left' Critic of Organic Farming" are additional articles in this Issue No. 13 of the New International series. They are of special value to farmers, whether organic or conventional or both. Additional suggested reading: Lenin's Final Fight by V.I. Lenin; First Five Years of the Communist International by Leon Trotsky; Malcolm X on Afro-American History by Malcolm X; Second Declaration of Havana by Fidel Castro.
