Aunque no creo ni por un instante que vayan a ser importantes para otros, al mismo tiempo soy suficientemente vanidoso para esperar que sean informativas y entretenidas e incluso que usted, mi estimado lector, al leer el libro ocasionalmente pueda reconocerse a s mismo entre sus p ginas.I wrote these stories to practice Spanish and to save my experiences for posterity. I know that many of the things that the following pages address could be called banalities, but they are my own banalities and they are important to me. Although I don't for a minute think that they will be important to others, I am nonetheless sufficiently vain to hope that they might still be informative and entertaining and perhaps even that you, dear reader, upon perusing the book from time to time may recognize yourself within its pages.
