This parent/teacher guide is useful if you look at the McGuffey reader series and have no clue what to do with the books to get started teaching your child/pupils how to read. However if you look at the McGuffey series and it makes sense to you how to get started, then you can skip this one.

This is a wonderful parent-teacher manual that correlates beautifully with the Original McGuffey Eclectic Readers Series (the one re-published by MOTT MEDIA in 1982). A MUST-HAVE for homeschoolers! I love readers - so even though we use My Father's World homeschool curriculum, I supplement with these and other readers (although I must admit that these McGuffey readers and this teacher manual is all one REALLY would need). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
