Great book for the serious home baker

This is the first book I bought with complicated cake designs. I baked a couple different cakes in the book and found they were a lot of fun to make! The book gives you a recipe for fondant if you can't find it in stores (but if you call a local bakery or go to Wal-mart to buy Wilton's fondant) you won't have a problem finding it. I love the cake that looks like a present with the hearts on it. I baked it for my mom for mother's day and she loved it!

This book was given to me about a year ago, and I finally used it. I made the artist box w/ the palette on top, becuase my daughter is an artist, plus she has been asking me to do it for awhile now, so I surprised her with it at her birthday party. Everyone was impressed, I agree that some of the ingredients are hard to find, but I just called around and found everythiung. I would suggest this book to anyone who loves the art of cake decorating.
