Rather boring

Quick synopsis- following a bizarre prank on his wedding night by his bride and his brother, duke exiles his wife in country. After a few years she decides she wants a real marriage and comes to town. The rest is predictable.
I found the characters flat and humorless, the narrative boring. I could not find the plot at all.
Very disappointing. Straight to the donation bin.
