So many diet programs emphasize a gimmick--counting calories, cutting back on carbs--in order to lose weight. Although these measures may result in weight loss, the weight often comes back and your health may be compromised in the process. In order to lose weight safely and easily, you must change the way you view diet and weight loss: Losing weight is not just about getting thinner...it's about gaining health. Perfect Health: The Natural Way is about feeding your body what it was designed to eat. This program is not about calorie-counting or deprivation, but about eating an abundance of good, healthy food and understanding what your body needs. By concentrating on getting healthy instead of dieting, you will not just lose weight but radiate health and vitality. Combining scientific findings and common sense, Mary-Ann Shearer clears up the confusion surrounding various diets and explains what we need to eat in order to gain total health: What is the "perfect food" that our bodies are designed to eat? Do we really need animal protein in order to be healthy? What is the truth about healthy fats? How does fasting help the body heal? This book explains not just what we should eat and why, but also offers valuable suggestions on how to integrate this new way of eating into your lifestyle. Included is a section featuring delicious, easy-to-prepare, healthy recipes that will help you begin your journey to PERFECT HEALTH
Book arrived in very good shape and was shipped on the day I ordered it. This book is about changing your eating habits and lifestyle to a pseudo-vegetarian diet. An added bonus is the simple recipes that are tasty and easy to follow. If followed, you will feel energetic and alert. An added bonus is the weight just melts off.

I've been reading a lot of health books from raw food diets to detailed china study and this book sums it up really well. If you are looking for a healthy way to live and don't want to go thru' a bunch of books, this one will do it for sure. I've been recommending this book to my family and friends, they all agree.

I love all the info; I don't care about some health experts who are saying now there's no benefit to food combining. What I'm saying to you who are reading this; YOU FEEL GREAT eating what this lady says to eat. It takes a few days to get used to it; like anything.. but then, you have so much energy, you'll be housekeeping at 10pm, it is just great to eat and feel like it was just what your body wanted.

I have met the author and she cooked for us (my book was signed by her) and I think her information is really important. I ordered over a dozen copies to give out to family and friends for Christmas. Anyone wanting better health should take this book seriously.

I have been researching healthy eating for quite awhile, but have had a hard time finding something that actually worked for me and was truely all natural. I loved this book and am loving eating like this. Having previously been on the Body for Life regime where I was told to eat tons of protein, I found this way of eating so refreshing and much easier on my body. I feel great and am finally seeing some results. I was also recently diagnosed with Hypothyoidism and by changing my eating habits as described in 'Perfect Health', I am finally starting to feel energetic again. This way of eating is very satisfying and I don't have the sugar cravings anymore...I actually passed up cookies today at a social gathering and didn't think much of it! I highly recommend this book.
