Fun as well as practical

I snagged this on Ebay for a ridiculiously low price, but it would have been worthwhile even had I paid more. While nicely researched and written and certainly interesting, this might go down as just another grave book dedicated to the burying places of the rich or famous or infamous. That said, to make the book standout the author had to offer the reader something more. Patricia Brooks offers great places for the graveyard weary traveler to nosh and kick back and also offers diversions in close proximity to the boneyards such as museums and historical sites. Good directions, hours of operation, and a nice physical layout finish off this book that is a reference tool/travel guide. I have Patricia Brooks' two other grave hunting books and have enjoyed them as well. This is a good book for those who want to get into the oddly seductive hobby of grave hunting.
