This text is, by far, the best of its kind I've come across.The first chapter takes you through special relativity in such a way that you cannot but understand it. The rest of it leads you through Schrodinger's work, quantum mechanics, de Broglies work, band theory to nuclear reactions. The loss of texts such as this has lead, in part, to the kind of 'dumbing down' I've seen in colleges today. This text makes Physics fascinating and exciting.The sooner it's back in print, the better!
