Great evening reading

I began driving street cars 50 years ago. I was a Car Guy long before that, and have been ever since. I was an avid reader of Car & Driver or Road & Track, mostly alternating subscriptions, occasionally overlapping.
Peter is one of the better writers of car-guy stuff. In his adventures the cars are major features, but there is much, much more to each, including lovely use of written English language.
This turned out to be an excellent book for winding down my evening with enjoyable reading. Each tale was independent, not trapping me into reading past my bedtime in order to gain closure for a particular segment.
