Excellent Book

This is an excellent book. It contains many tips and methods not included in the product manual. It has simplified many of the things that I was doing the "hard way". I liked the whole book, but I especially liked the chapter on Photo Restoration. The book is well worth the money.

Many of those nice things you've seen on websites / magazine adds, with this book, you'll now be able to accomplish easily.The authors give clear examples, in a language beginners will be able to understand. Examples are in full colors, well organized and detailed in a step by step way to help you not even do it yourself but understand them. You'll be able to integrate part of them in other projects very easily.

I found this book useful because it didn't just go over features like the manual--it choose effects I actually wanted to learn, and it showed me how to do them in a simple, step-by-step way.The authors all have a conversational style that's like having a friend explain it to you, and the included CD-ROM gives you all the files you need to follow along.The book is full color, easy to follow, and helped me get a LOT more out of Elements than I suspected was there!

This book isn't the same rehash of basics and tired formulas.It concentrates on FUNCTION--how to do those things you really wondered about--and find explained here so succinctly and elegantly.The illustrations are superb, and I was particularly taken with a neon tutorial that culminated with a dazzling neon sunflower. This is powerful stuff and makes me believe I can do it too (in fact, I did!).All the instruction points you towards applying your new-found knowledge and skills to your own projects, which is what I really like (instead of making you feel you'll never be able to reach their heights like some other digital imaging books).I would recommend PE2 Most Wanted to any Elements user who is ready to unleash his/her own creativity using easy-to-learn instruction and guidance.

At first, I would view Photoshop Elements as only half the application as Photoshop is, however, after reading this book, I do not feel the same anymore. This book was put together in a very appealing format, reaching out to the artist inside I guess you would say. The examples were worth reading as well as practical and worded in a friendly manner so that if you are new or experienced you should get something out of it. I was happy to see the book came with a CD as well. It was not too long but in depth enough to cover what I wanted covered from a design book. I like the plain English talk without all the fancy technical jargon. Overall, I was very happy with the book and would recommend it to others.
