I do no have formal training in HR and I found myself in a situation where after applying for an HR position I was notified that there was an exam!! I am terrified of exams... so I got the book, read it from cover to cover, and took the exam (I did all of this in 72 hours) and I scored in the top 10% of the applicants. Wow! I really think this book gave me the edge to compensate for the missing information in my experience. Great reading, straight to the point, very concise prep exam (there is an answer missing in one of the questions... E does not show up but in the answers sections E is the correct answer), almost a technical manual. I highly recommended it if you are looking for a straight to the point manual. Its size is deceptive for the amount of information it contains.
