A pop-up book of military aircraft contains Howard Hughes's Spruce Goose, the Tornado GR. 1 from the Gulf War, and many more and also features historical and technical information. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a wonderful pop-up book. It is full of information about the planes and some of the history surrounding the era when they were used. The information is set to 1/2 page in a 'sidebar' type format, and the picture takes the other 1/2 of that page plus the full opposing side. That makes the pop-ups and picture be the real show. The information set to the side isn't imposing or overwhelming, and therefore the child is interested in reading what is said about this 3-D plane. It will have great appeal to the kids that are in that 'between' age. When they are still interested in the pop-up type books but are ready for more information and not just fluff. Older kids will still enjoy it, too, because of the facts on each plane. This includes a selection of aircraft from 1917 to 1991.
