I agree with two previous reviewers. Very educational and interesting book not only for children but also for adults. The author did a very good research to be able to put together so many amazing features of the plants in one book. One more comment. It would be nice to have photographs if possible rather than the pictures. The illustrations are nice but I worry that sometimes they change proportion or scale of the plants/insects too much. Anyways, it is an excellent book.

I agree with the first review, and think Hedda makes the subject fun for many ages and easy to understand.ALL of Hedda Nussbaums books should be available for all future generations. Maybe Hedda will bring ALL of them back.I bought all of them for my kids growing up. They are fascinating. I also recommend books by Ruth Heller.

This is a book that is not only fun to read but is extremely educational - for adults as well as children and especially pre-teens or teens who read at a 3rd grade reading level. It is full of fascinating facts about all kinds of plants - facts that a reader would not usually not have come across before. I think it's an excellent book.
