From the creators of Death Note! Mirai may have been saved by an angel, but his battle is just beginning... As his classmates celebrate their middle school graduation, troubled Mirai is mired in darkness. But his battle is just beginning when he receives some salvation from above in the form of an angel. Now Mirai is pitted against 12 other chosen humans in a battle in which the winner becomes the next god of the world. Mirai has an angel in his corner, but he may need to become a devil to survive.
Which would you choose? That was Mirai's choice after an angel saved him from himself. I would hope that I would choose it like he did and say, give me both. The plot came steadily, revealing bits at a time making you know enough to understand, but also leaving you wanting more. It was perfectly paced in my opinion.
The first thing that came to my mind when reading Platinum end was, "my gosh the art is beyond beautiful!" With the scenery and angelic beings, it's some of the best art I've seen in a manga to date. Also, the subtle holographic detail on the front and back cover is really cool.
So far, the only characters we know much about is Mirai and his angel Nasse, and that's not saying a lot as both are still quite mysterious in my opinion, Nasse more so. I really like Nasse's optimism and go get 'em attitude, even though her naiveness about human emotion could be a big downfall to Mirai.
I also really liked seeing Mirai's turn from despair in the beginning to his optimistic outlook of the future by the end of the volume. It's going to fun watching both of them grow as a I delve into further volumes.
