Bob Swift is back Having barely survived the deceptive pleasures and menacing dangers of Southeast Asian street life several years earlier in "Last Bus to Korat," this time the good old boy finds himself in yet another set of awkward encounters. Now retired and bored out of his skull, Swift is left 'home alone' while his wife visits her homeland for two glorious months. Stuck in his ways, always ready to speak his piece, and too damn old to change, this likable fellow rambles through his unmonitored days as he rediscovers the uncertainties and disappointments of temporary bachelorhood.
