Music is power, power which Absalom and others like him use to provide for the land. With the singing he can water, till, plant, and reap. When visitors come food is available and clothing provided. With the music comes the power to hear, hear beyond words spoken for thoughts come to help provide and listening for those thoughts keeps one on their toes. Absalom has been singing since he was little and to him it's like a second skin. One he has worn so long he doesn't notice when it begins to fade. Only when he begins to look like the picture he once saw does he realize he's missed the Most High. At first he is unsure he can make the walk, the Most High told him to take. But the moment he decides he's going, the strength comes-just enough to make it to the first. The Most High comes through just in time.
