Wonderful, Worthy of Spot In Your Library

Polarity Magic spans Atlantean, Egyptian, Judaic, Celtic, Christian and Arthurian mythological systems, focusing on how the relationships of mythological couples form the essential core of mythology and magical practice. To my mind too many, if not most, books on this subject matter rely incestuously and usually exclusively on the dubious authority of the prior writings of 20th century occultists. The authors of Polarity Magic avoid this pitfall and instead draw credibly on historical, archaelogical and above all mythological record to form a coherent picture of polarity magic, with the intended goal of providing readers with a method of service to culture, society, and ultimately creation itself. As such, this is not a book likely to appeal to the fans of the "sigils and self-abuse" books on magic that seem to be everywhere these days. Of course the proof is in the pudding, and Polarity Magic provides a wealth of practical techniques so that the authors' assertions can be tested and explored. I highly recommend it.
