This is one of the best books on the subject I have read, It looks at the phenomena from an objective point of view and talks to the witnesses themselves and to beleivers and skeptics. An excellent book
Well Written Summary of Investigating the Paranormal
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 18 years ago
Mr. Clarkson is a recently retired investigative reporter who has written stories on everything from the AIDS epidemic to books on fear management and stress. In this book he says that he is a skeptic who was introduced to the paranormal fairly recently. He decided to apply his investigative powers to researching and examining cases of the paranormal. He looked into some fifty poltergise cases and interviewed hundreds of witnesses, paranormal experts, psychologists, university professors, magicians and skeptics. His conclusions are that some instances cannot be explained. He is still somewhat of a skeptic, but perhaps one more willing to accept that there may be unknowns in our world than he was before he started the project. This is a good summary of the investigation into a series of situations.
