Pop Art (World of Art) This book originally written in 1966 is a classic and is still vitally important for understanding Pop Art. Since it was written so close to its American inception it is full of insights that later would become revised. Economical and well written. It is also a collaborative effort so you get LA Pop, Euro Pop, British Pop etc.I have used this as a text in my art history classes. Even the footnotes are important. This is the place to start researching Pop Art , then go to Marco Livingstone's many texts, Madoff's and Taschen's anthologies.
Perfect start
