More than places where ships load and unload, ports are points of departure and arrival, places where 'here' contacts 'there', and where known and unknown meet. Port brings together a selection of prose and poetry about harbours and havens all across the UK and beyond, ranging from giant container ports to fishing quays in remote locations. It includes specially commissioned writing from 38 contributors, including artist Matei Bejenaru, poets Tessa Berring, Michael Brown, Vahni Capildeo and Golnoosh Nour, writer Kerri n Dochartaigh, novelist Sarah Jasmon, film-maker and writer Gary Liggett, rock musician and writer Martin Newell, and criminologist Dr Anna Sergi.
