This wonderful book is brimming with good cheer and joy. The pictures are beautiful, the text lively. Many popular children's books have lovely illustrations but rather pedestrian, dull text--this one is different. The story of Possum watching the awakening of Spring is told with bounce and humor. It was a big hit with the animal-loving six-year-old I bought it for.

This is the cutest book! It honestly warms my heart with it's simple story about animals harkening the coming of spring. The earnest possum rouses everyone around him to appreciate the beauty that surrounds them and welcome the changing of the seasons. The pictures are adorable and this is one of the few children's books that I'm always happy to read again and again.
