This contemporary mystery novel tells the story of Apache private eye Geronimo Jones as he investigates the attempted murder of his business partner while also reluctantly deciding to help elders of the Zuni tribe recover and protect stolen sacred artifacts from a group of black market Indian art dealers. As it turns out, helping with the artifacts ultimately leads to finding his partner's shooter. Set in and around Santa Fe, New Mexico, this story is a mashup of Sam Spade and Joe Leaphorn/Jim Chee (of the Tony Hillerman books).
