As an elementary school librarian I'm always looking for GREAT READ ALOUDS for our students. Linda Boyden's Powwow's Coming was a SMASHING HIT with the children. Warm, accurate, richly done in collage, and a great opener to a Q & A session about traditions, as well as, Native American celebrations. I highly recommend this book in an elementary (K-4) setting.
A wonderful read-aloud book ideal for introducing young people to Native American culture.
