Perhaps others have learned to appreciate the gift of their bodies more than I. The idea of during prayer thanking each part of my body for what it does for me - ex: for all the miles my feet have carried me - gave me a new and less judgmental appreciation for the gift of my body. These prayer forms were very opening for me and I recommend this book for anyone who wants to explore including their boides as well as hearts and minds in prayer.
A primer for integrating the Spiritual & the physical.

This is a book that gave me the extra push I needed in understanding that unconditional love includes loving your own body. It helps the reader to understand that we are in partnership with our bodies. They are our haven and sustainer not a prison. The guided meditations are beautiful and the information is priceless. Even though it is christocentric I think this book would be helpful for people from all spiritual walks.
