A new answer to "Why doesn't God answer my Prayers?"

I particularly like Dr. Cobb's use of theology in story form in this text. He makes this a very usable book for anyone interesting in deepening their understanding of the significance of prayer in our Christian lives. Yet, this is a text that can be helpful to the most educated clergy who nonetheless, may still struggle with what prayer means. The journey of Jennifer's friends is a journey so many of us are on in our own lives of faith and prayer. Dr. Cobb's stratigic introduction of characters into the book helps uncover us "travel through" a understanding of prayer instead of being given someone's "finalized" lecture on what prayer really means. I also affirm strongly Dr. Cobb's use of science as an affirmation of the power of prayer instead of perpetuating the traditional division of spirituality and world. This is especially evident when he quotes the experiment on Brine Shrimp. I recommend this text to anyone who has asked the question, "Why hasn't God answered my prayers?"
