If you have the ability to read this book is good. The material is written at a low enough reading level that anyone can understand it, but you need the patience to work through a few paragraphs of 12-point Times Roman. Formulas are nicely highlighted and the example problems are always well done. Even the section on logarithms was nicely presented. This book is also hardcore data--you won't find any useless illustrations here like many of the Prentice Hall textbooks for Algebra I & II have.
