Is your presentation style a little on the dull side? When you speak in public, do your audiences exhibit severe symptoms of MEGO (My Eyes Glaze Over)? Do you believe that "Death by PowerPoint"... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Ellen and Michael Dowling have written a superior book. It gets to the point and is an entertaining read as well as instructional. This is not a small feat for a book about presentations, something I consider usually very dry. The book is written for the professional presenter who wants to improve his abilities. However, I also find it helpful for the occasional presenter. The book gives you some dynamic techniques that should help whether you are presenting at a convention and need to address hundreds of people, at a high powered business meeting and you really need to impress those present, or if you (like me) are presenting to a small group of colleagues over a friendly rotating monthly lunch. You might find that people actually listen, hear, and are interested in what you have to say after following several of Ellen's and Michael's suggestions.
