Her mission is to go undercover at Windsor Castle, where she will tutor Princess Elizabeth. While Maggie is there, a murder is committed and it is up to Maggie to keep her eyes and ears open..to find out as much as she can about the murder, relay it back to her "handler" within the MI-5 agency, and still stay under cover as a math Tudor, Her cover story to all within the castle and to keep an ever alert eye on the young princesses. Worries being for the young Princess Elizabeth's Life, as she would be second in line for the throne, and the Royals and the agency think that there could be an attempt at her being kidnapped. Through the story you are introduced to the life of the Royals, The Staff, the guards, the butlers, cleaning people, maids of all sorts, grounds keepers, gardeners, and so many more (hundreds of them for every little thing imaginable) and life its self inside the Castle.From all the proper tea times, to proper dressing for dinner. This book is so well written, its has excitement, mystery, struggles and danger, plenty of danger!!. It also pulls at your heart, as Maggie also learns more of the truth about her Mother and Father.The secrets that have been kept from her ..her whole life..she is now told the truth which leaves her in confusion and shock.Which all lead her on to another mission in the 3rd book ! There is a TON of more Juicy story line involving Maggie, but would hate to reveal to many outcomes of the different scenarios that happen in the story. I totally LOVE the Maggie Hope Series, this is book #2, and I can't wait to get the rest ! Excellent, Excellent story. Easy smooth enjoyable reading, sooo happy I just happened to buy the first book on a whim... and now I just love the stories around Maggie Hope's Missions...I almost feel like I found a hidden treasure !!

From young teens to old Maggie leads us through historic times of World War Two. Maggie is able to engage us as a woman before her times of women’s rights saying she is worthy of respect of her innate abilities to see and make decisions.This book reminds me of Maxie Dobbs books. Enjoy
