A really funny story about a scientist, her assistant and her guinea-pig named Chip. The scientist leaves her assistant alone in the labortory. He starts using the potion to experiement on the guinea-pig. There are all sorts of strange reactions and in the end everything back fires on the assistant. A light hearted and enjoyable story. Liked by nearly all the of the Moles class.

This is a *delightful* book that I wish I'd had when I was a kid. The story is a little jewel--funny and simply perfect as it is. And the *pictures*! Lord, the pictures are wonderful. One could look at them for hours--a child could look at them throughout childhood--and be endlessly delighted by the details, the colors, the pure charm. Even the endpapers of the book, with their pictures of Professor Puffendorf's inventions, are worth looking at for a long while. Can't wait for tomorrow night's bedtime reading! Funny! Funny! Funny! The characters will keep you and your children laughing. Good story line and a very cute ending. Young or old...it doesn't matter. This is a page turner for the entire family to enjoy.
