I nearly did not buy this book because of the previous negative comments. However, I just finished chapter three and I've found it to be very user friendly.I've only been working with Java for about ten months now, and so this book is right about at my level. I'm also reading Gordon and Talley's JMF book; and that one seems to be a bit more advanced, but also good.If you are a Java guru, then this book may be a bit too easy for you. But if you are like me, an undergraduate Computer Science student, then this book should be about right for you.If you have little or no experience with Java at all then this book will be a bit too tough for you.
