A heartwarming and revealing look at the wisdom drawn from successful marriages and the secrets to making love last, not from Ph.D.s or therapists but from more than 200 real couples who have walked the walk to more than forty years of marriage. Jaded by his parents' divorce, Mathew Boggs was a young man who'd lost all belief in lifelong love. After observing his grandparents who were madly in love after sixty-three years of marriage, Mat talked his best friend Jason into joining him on a cross-country search for America's greatest marriages. The two bumbling bachelors jumped in an RV and embarked on "Project Everlasting," a 12,000-mile cross-country adventure to discover what it takes to make love last. Each chapter of Project Everlasting is dedicated to one of the pressing questions the bachelors asked the couples, such as: --"How do you know you've found The One?" --"What's missing from today's marriages?" --"How do you keep the romance alive?" --"What's the most important ingredient for a solid marriage?" As the traveled the country, meeting happy couples from all walks of life, Mat and Jason began to understand why their own relationships hadn't worked out quite as planned. They also realized that what they were learning from their wise new friends could change everything for them and--through Project Everlasting--show their generation and generations to come how to build a marriage to last.
There are not enough wonderful things I can say about this book. Within the stories of each successful couple, the secrets to a truly great marriage are reavealed. Much more interesting to read than some manual by an 'expert' the honesty, love and devotion shown by these couples has the power to inspire anyone to WANT TO be a better spouse. This book also serves as a reminder that while so many couples have kids and get stuck in the role of 'parent first, roommate second' after the kids are grown its just you and your mate. The book mentions the couples as having kids, but they never take on the starring role. It always comes down to just the two of them. If you think your marriage is good, read this book and understand how amazing it really can be!
"Pencils in the hand of God" (Mother Teresa)

As one of the couples selected to be featured in this "inspired" work, we are greatly humbled. Mat Boggs and Jason Miller have met Mother Teresa's challenge and "written a love letter to the world" by doing four years of research and writing to finish this work of love. They have run the race and finished it, freely giving up over four years of their lives to do so. I just finished reading the book and found myself laughing, crying, and blessing the authors as I read it. It will bless young and old, newly weds, long time weds, those planning to wed, and even friendships. We have ordered fifteen copies to give as gifts. This book will bless anyone who reads it! Authors found the golden ticket to happy marriages

Mat Boggs and Jason Miller crossed the country to find, interview and learn from America's "Marriage Masters," couples who had been happily married 40 years or more. Their new heart-warming book shows that they succeeded. Project Everlasting is filled with the kind of true life stories that can literally change the way people live and love. Reading these bachelors' attempts to understand love, respect and commitment along with the marriage masters' thoughts about what it takes to live happily ever after transformed what I thought about marriage. Kudos to these two men for seeking out those wiser than us, those who have been there, done that, and created a life filled with love and happiness. We should all learn from those who went before us -- especially those who found and kept love. We can do that by reading Project Everlasting. I recommend this book to everyone. -- Brendon Burchard, author of Life's Golden Ticket
