Wealthy heiress Eve Townsend is close to death. But before she dies, she has to know: what happened to the daughter she gave up for adoption twenty-four years before? Did she inherit her mother's life-threatening disease? Medical researcher Pete Worth is ready to find answers by tracking her down. And when he finally locates Meredith Lassiter, he finds her widowed, pregnant and on the run. The smugglers who killed her husband want her dead...and Pete is the only one standing in their way.
Once again Debby Giusti has you sitting on the edge of your seat with this exciting suspense. I was unable to put Protecting Her Child down until I'd read the last word and then I didn't want it to end. And the skill in which Debby created a romance in a weekend, but what an action packed intense weekend. I was totally in love with both characters as I cheered them on and worried about each new twist. Great writing Debby. Loved how you wove the information about VHL into the drama. I'd never heard of it before so while being entertained, I'm also informed. Thanks and keep on writing those riveting suspense novels.

Debby Giusti's Protecting Her Child kept me turning pages. I pulled for Pete and Meredith as they fought those set on killing Meredith and her unborn child. Giusti's compelling ending was both surprising and satisfying. The medical aspect of the story--VHL, a disease I'd never heard of--is beautifully handled by Giusti. I highly recommend this gripping romantic suspense, Protecting Her Child.
Great suspense, terrific roller coaster ride

I read through this book barely able to look away from the page. I love this Magnolia Medical series and the interesting insight Guisti brings to medical thrillers. But the medical part, though fascinating, was just a backdrop for a high stakes roller coaster ride. This book was just pure fun. Absolutely riveting. I can't wait for more!
Heartrending Edge-of-the-seat

If this review comes across twice, sorry! I'll delete one. I think I pushed a wrong button last time because it didn't appear. Anyway, this book was quite different than Debby's other books I've read. Though still suspenseful, this book was more issue-driven than action-driven. There was still plenty of suspense but with this book the author handled a delicate issue with grace. The romance was heart-tugging too. I know authors aren't responsible for their covers, but I must say that I would have bought this book for the cover alone. Kudos to the art team. I'm going to enjoy this Magnolia Medical series and hope there will be many, many books in it. Debby's attention to medical and laboratory detail proves she knows what she's talking about. Very authentic.
