I'm not sure that my baby really understands the concepts in this book. However, she loves touching the pictures in the book either by herself or when I'm reading to her. She is quite fasinated by it. The binding could be sturdier.
Good first book for toddlers

We purchased two of these touch and feel books for our 15 month old daughter. She loves the pictures and to feel the books. They are a great first book for older babies and young toddlers.

When I heard DK was putting out a touch and feel book about puppies and kittens, I had to order it immediately. My grandson simply can't get enough when it comes to his furry friends, long after they get a bit tired of his constant attention. I was actually hoping he'd fixate on petting these little creatures and leave the live ones to rest a bit. This book was an instant hit. The cute little animals kept my grandson's attention and he loved feeling the different textures. By the way, the distraction worked. My grandson left the poor animals alone for quite a while. I however, wasn't so lucky. He kept bringing this book to me to read over and over again.
