Hidden among the remote hills of eighteenth-century England lives a powerful clan of shape-shifters who've become the stuff of myths and legends. They are the drákon -supersensual creatures with the... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This was really just a story about an entitled and toxic man who kept chasing a woman who didn't want him until she decided she did. Constantly going on about how he's "Alpha." I can't believe this was written by a woman.
Enjoyable

I just finished reading Dragon Queen, the third in the series and I found I rather enjoyed it. As a number of the low star raters said it leaves lots of questions unanswered, however I am sure they will be dealt with in other books to come. Will I order the next one. I was intrigued enough with the building of the plot (by that I mean over the 3 books) to want to read more. So I will buy The Treasure Keeper. If soft cover was available for pre-order I will have ordered it already. A point to note - If you have not read the other 2 books in this series you might be at sea a bit as it makes references to them.
Another good read from Abe

I have been privileged to read each of Shana Abe's books. I find her characters in this series are particularly believable even though they are "Drakonian" in their nature and abilities. Her stories are carefully crafted. Since believability and a good story are key to a fantasy novel, I highly recommend this new book and suggest that you read her other stories.
Wonderful Read

I have been anxiously awaiting the release of this book, and I have to say that I am not disappointed! Shana Abe has delivered a book with good strong Character. I was sure to reread the first two books before picking this one up, as I find it helps place the personality of the Drakon better. If it has been a while since you have read the other books, I recommend you do this as well. It will definitely help to solidify the character of Maricara...and what a character she is.
BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED!

This story was book 3 in Shana Abe's Dragon/Drakon series. While this book can stand alone and still be a great story, reading Smoke Thief and Dream Thief first- in that order- would be helpful to fully understanding the intricacies of the detailed plot/common thread in all three books. Without dropping spoilers, I will only say that Queen of Dragons kept me riveted the whole way through. The romance/relationship was compelling and quite hot, but did not over-power the whole story. For those who like to involve some higher-order thinking skills when reading a romance, definitely read Queen of Dragons. What was a subtle underlying threat to the race of the Drakon in the previous novels is a full-scale problem the members of this race must confront and battle with the cunning of a Drakon, or face the possibility of extinction. I can't wait for the next novel in this series. Queen of Dragons left me more than satisfied and has intrigued me to the point of near impatience for the next one!! Well done!
