My son, in the 5th grade, has not liked any books he reads. He does not read for pleasure but 2-3 times a year he must read a book for a book report at school. We struggle each time to get him to read and what a struggle. Except now. This series of back in time books have been fantastic. Not only will he read them, he actually "eats them up". He is done with the book and asking for more. We initially got him hooked on the sports back in time book since that is what he prefers to do instead of homework. Give it a try, easy reading and interesting facts.

This is another Qwerty Stevens Adventures. This time Qwerty's Revolutionary War report was due for class today. He completely forgot so he copied a report off of a website with the Anytime Anywhere machine on. This was the machine Qwerty found in his backyard in the first book of this series. After Qwerty completed printing the report, he finds an old man asleep on his bed. That man is Benjamin Franklin. It's up to Qwerty and Joey to take Benjamin Franklin back to the past and help save the Declaration of Independence from a mad man on the loose. Some parts of this book are really funny. The series is an easy-to-read one with history facts woven into the story.
