Nine-year-old Stella Sullivan loves animals, and so does her Aunt Anya, the only veterinarian in Gateway, Montana--and the official vet at the annual Gateway Rodeo, the biggest event of the summer. Stella is thrilled when Anya asks her to come along and help out. She and her friends get to wear official staff T-shirts and carry walkie talkies, but even Stella couldn't have predicted how exciting this year's rodeo would be Join Stella and her aunt--and their friends and family--as they rescue a rodeo clown's rabbit, treat a champion horse, examine a bucking bull, and foil a dognapping
Stella and her friends Josie, and Marisa were going to go to help Stella's aunt at the rodeo but Marisa's mom wouldn't let her go because she thought they were torturing the bulls . So she wouldn't take the fire-engine-red t-shirt and a walkie-talkie. They asked Jared to go instead. Stella looked up Jared's number in the phone book. He answered on the first ring and immediatrly agreed to help. The next morning Stella and Anya wented to pick up Jared. He asked where the rodeo was at. Joise said that it was at the town fairgrounds, after looking at him as if he was on another planet. When Stella and Anya were at the clinic they heard Jared on the walkie-talkie saying that they needed Anya in the practice arena right now because a horse was in serious trouble. You can read what happens to the horse and other animals when you read this book. I really enjoyed this book because of the different animals that needed to be helped. I also enjoyed the other books in the Animal Emergency series.
