Raggedy Andy discovers a magic wishing pebble The dolls wish for a magic soda-water fountain for their friends, but when a trickster steals the pebble, the fountain disappears. It's up to Raggedy Ann and Andy to get the magic pebble back -- and to teach the trickster a valuable lesson about kindness. In this new version of a classic, retold for young children, Raggedy Ann and the other dolls in the nursery come to life with humor and spirit.
The illustrations, animal friends and Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy make this an appealing story. I don't know how much my 3 yr old grandson really understands the moral of the story. He enjoys having it read to him.
Wonderful story has captured Rebecca's heart

I surprized my daughter with this book two weeks ago and now we read it almost everyday. She brings up the character's names throughout the day and has grown very attached to her Raggedy Ann doll. I love the illustrations as much, if not more, than she does. I've already purchased two more "My First Raggedy Ann" books for her upcoming birthday. The story of a wishing pebble and especially the character Minky fasinate her.
