My 6 year old daughter adores this and the whole series
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
Thea is about the 15th fairy book my 6 year old has devoured. She LOVES them...to the point where she is looking forward to a day out of school so she can read more. She even puts on the headlamp and reads them in bed at night! I have had the chance to read many chapters to her as well, and the setup is very common across all the books. Kirstie and Rachel are friends who help the fairies. The fairies are inevitably in need of help because they have been cast out of Fairyland by magic or trickery from the evil Jack Frost and his goblins. While my daughter finds many things scary, such as most Disney films, she does not find Jack Frost or the goblins scary. They are written up in a way that helps her laugh at them and their petty ways. Good family values, and who's not to love a book series that helps their child develop a love of reading?
