In direct challenge to the liberal political thinking that built the welfare state, John Kenneth Blackwell and Jerome Corsi have developed a blueprint for a new War on Poverty, utilizing an innovative approach to mobilizing urban capital to strengthen African American families, build wealth through meaningful employment among those now in poverty, and develop America's urban landscape without imposing additional tax burdens on the American people.
It's refreshing to read a book by a politician that is based on strong research and historical artifacts. Blackwell shows where liberal American politics went wrong and provides many examples of the country's addiction to federally run, socialist programs. Conservatives and moderates from both parties will find this an enlightening read.

Rebuilding America: A Prescription for Creating Strong Families, Building the Wealth of Working Peop

Intrigued by Kenneth Blackwell's progressive approach theory regarding wealth building for working people and the end of the degradation of welfare, I bought his book and read it cover to cover. I know Mr. Blackwell is a social and fiscal conservative and yet I still think his ideas are "progressive" in that they are brilliantly aware of what needs to be done in order to allow people of any color to take back control over their lives and create an atmosphere in which they can distinguish themselves in the most positive way possible. It is the welfare state that is obsolete and that has failed to better the lives of those people who are trapped by it. Bravo Ken Blackwell for your thoughtful, positive and brave plan to set Ohio and perhaps the country on a course that would actually succeed rather than go in circles. --- D. Swanson
