I have used this book more times than any other book that I own about Linux (about 8 books total) and I must say this is the most clear and concise book of all! Not to mention the most space saving and less bulky of them. If you just started with Linux BUY THIS BOOK! Unless you think bigger is better. :-)
I use it every day

Takes over were the O'Reilly books leave off. An excellent guide to carry around. I especially recommended it to serious newbies or people who don't deal with linux constantly. All the basics are covered here. And the book is laid out in an intuitive manner! This is a big bonus when you are in a hurry. The driver info is a bit dated, but who expects the latest info on drivers from a dead tree? You can survive in a linux environment with this book.
Concise, inclusive, with no extra baggage.

I found this book to be very helpful. I have used it every day for a week and have yet to find an error. What I like about it and the whole series is that it departs from the doorstop theme that most of these books follow. Solutions to common problems are addressed in a coherent manner. It is a great book to have if you haven't memorized every thing about linux yet.As allways if you need the absolute latest information on drivers go on line!If you are going to buy one Linux book this is the one. I have a dozen or so, but this is pretty much the only one I use now.
