Reflections (As I Get Older) is a series of philosophical observations which were born on an airplane carrying me home from a sales seminar I had just given in Minnesota. As I sat in my window seat, looking down at the snow-covered plains and mountains below, the setting was ideal for a philosophical look backward at my life. I had just retired, after thirty-eight years, from the American Broadcasting Company where I had held the position of President and General Manager of KABC Talk Radio. Working my way through school then through the ranks of the broadcasting business, from salesman to sales manager to general manager, was a most interesting and exciting career, to say the least.
