Religion in America gives students and teachers a comprehensive yet concise introduction to the changing religious landscape of the United States. Extensively revised and updated, the Sixth Edition continues to engage students in reflection about religious diversity. The author presents the study of religion within the context of the humanities as a tool for developing understanding and appreciation of communities of faith other than ones own, and for understanding the dynamics at work in religion in the United States today.
I received my book very quickly and it was in great shape. I would definitely use them again! Thanks!
More like Christianity in America

I bought this book for a class, and I was hoping to learn a lot about many religions, but the book and thus the class is mainly about different forms of Christianity. It's a good book and I got it in a timely manner, but I'm still a little disappointed, but it's just the classes fault.
Very helpful survey.

This book provides a very good, basic framework for looking at many of the major Christian denominations in America, as well as a brief look at other world religions in America. I used this book in a "Religion and Popular Culture" class in college, and am now using it to teach a class at my church. The book also has very good study questions, and many good website links.
