This edition has been updated, with current remote sensing systems described and illustrated with representative images. The emphasis is on the interpretation and application of the images, and there is a new chapter on land use, land cover and geographic information systems.
Remote Sensing: Principles and Interpretations by Floyd F. Sabins
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 17 years ago
As an engineering geologist I was introduced to Remote Sensing in college with Sabins book and work book as the required text about 9 years ago. It was a joy to learn from such a well designed text/manual. I still use the book today in my work, setting up a geotechnical database/GIS spatial analysis. It is a must book for any geologist who uses 21st century technology in their work.
