The book of Revelation is filled with extravagant images that some believe forecast gloom and doom. On the contrary, Revelation intends to encourage its readers, using a type of literature that was common at the time it was written. The true message of the book is one of hope, looking ahead toward God's ultimate victory over evil. Interpretation Bible Studies (IBS) offers solid biblical content in a creative study format. Forged in the tradition of the celebrated Interpretation commentary series, IBS makes the same depth of biblical insight available in a dynamic, flexible, and user-friendly resource. Designed for adults and older youth, IBS can be used in small groups, in church school classes, in large group presentations, or in personal study.
Revelation (Interpretation Bible Studies) I plan to use this book in teaching the Book of Revelation. Good presentation.
A good place to start

This book is a good place to start for the beginner or anyone wanting an overview towards deeper study. It is an easy read from the Reformed perspective. This book plus a good ESV Study Bible will get anyone started on the right track. I have made extensive use of the references in the back, especially the ones that are quoted so often by the author. Ex. Barclay, Boring, Gonzalez and Peterson.
