Having written two full length novels and dozens of short stories it seemed a natural progression to try my hand at poetry. My poems are not structured in the academic sense, but invariably come from inspiration. Something will prompt me to describe a scene that flashes through my mind. It may be an act of bravery or just something or someone I've read about. if I can write it down in a manner that pleases me, then I will try and polish the wording until it gels as verse. 'Remember Me' (the voice of the dead) came just like that, and I have received emails from people in several countries, including Australia, New Zealand and Canada, asking to use it for 'Remembrance Day' Services. That means more to me than fame and fortune ever could.
