This book is the embodyment of all the rifts books available today. The new O.C.C's and R.C.C's available are phenomonal. There is nothing too overpowered in this book, and yet there is plenty of power available to characters. The Nazca are simply amazing with their line magick spells and the new races WOW!.
One of the best yet.

Rifts worldbook 9: South America 2 is a good adition not only to an america-based campaign, but to any campaign. The Empire of the Sun and the new Line-magic are Palladium's standarts, while I prefer a technological aproach, others may enjoy it. There's an alien race of would-be conquerors, the Arkhon, with great toys, tri-weapons and cerametal armor, and some cool looking mecha and power armor as well. The Megaversal Legion OCCs are pretty good, with great playability, and can be usefull in any setting in the megaverse. Now, something I found a little cheesy are the cities of Eldorado. I mean, a city of werejaguars and mutant cats, and three feline gods? Then we have the Silver River Republics, interesting, but in essence, the same concept of the NGR or the New Japan Empire, technological states struggling against monsters and aliens. And last, the Larrhold barbarians and their blue flame magic...simply put, not quite interesting. Overall, it's a very good worldbook, better than South america 1 in my opinion. It has everything for everyone, new guns and armor, new magic, information, new monsters and OCCs.
