This is A Book About Ripening. About the changes that life and age and time do to us, do for us; about accepting some changes, screaming about others, letting go, fighting back. It's about the land we... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I'm an author from the same publisher and was researching which books came out this fall (mine came out last year) when I couldn't help but notice RIPE. I ordered it right away, read it right away and have fallen in love with this book. As a former advertising writer, I was always in awe of Champ & Moore's strong advertising voice for Nike Womens products and I see now that they have carried over their respect for women's issues into a longer format. A great book for women of all ages. Julie Clark Robinson, author of Live in the Moment.

I loved "Ripe" and I bought 5 copies for my friends. It makes menopause and getting older very accessible and the layout is pleasantly different from any other book on this subject. You'll enjoy it!

This book speaks from the heart. It gives voice to women in a way that no other book about "the change" has done. It reads like poetry and looks like an art book--and then surprise, surprise it gives you concrete places to go to learn more. What a joy. Aging never felt so good.
LOVELY

What a wonderful book. I was quite disappointed when it ended. I really think that every woman should buy this book by the time she is 35, and then every so often pull it off the shelf and read it again. The book puts things in perspective, so that even those of us over 54 know we weren't going crazy.....or had some dreaded disease. Janet and Charlotte should be applauded for their work. It would be a waste of talent if they don't collaborate on another book or two.
Ripe: being at the peak of perfection

I received my copy of Ripe yesterday and immediately sat down to savor it. This book made me smile over and over and nod in agreement and sometimes fog up a little, as one does in the poignant autumn season. Several times I had to stop and just let it soak in while a part of me was critically evaluating the design and layout, all of which is incredibly apt, amusing and sometimes beautiful. This a wonderful book that I can hardly wait to give to my daughter and daughters-in-law when they're a certain age!
