This publication is the compelling true life story of a young family in Czechoslovakia. It takes place during the beginning of the second World War whereby their homeland was invaded and occupied first by the the Nazis and then the Soviets and thus brought an end to the free, tranquil and peaceful life of which they were accustomed. In its place a period of horror, pain, suffering and subjugation was instilled lasting for many decades during which time they never seized in their quest to regain their freedom and search for a peaceful and prosperous life, free from suppression and tyranny. This is their story, of a long perilous journey of many hardships and struggles which they were forced to overcome to achieve that end. This is a true testament of the strength and more importantly the ever enduring desire and hunger of the human spirit to be free.
