Why are some prayers not answered? This is one of the most intriguing questions in the Church today and throughout history. The answer is clearly multifactorial; however, God's Word does shed some light on this very subject. The age-old answer has been "lack of faith," and that is certainly true in part, as the Bible tells us we receive from God through faith. However, there are some people who appear to sincerely believe and stand strong in faith, and yet fail to receive. I have experienced this in my own faith walk as well. There must be other factors involved. There simply must be. These hindrances to answered prayer are important to identify. Many live beneath their rights and privileges as children of God, because they have not identified these roadblocks. God knows them, and He tells us about them in His Word, because He is a God of love, and He yearns to shower us with His blessings.
