Upon immigrating to Los Angeles from Tehran as a toddler, young Roshan Shahidi soon becomes Robin Shood in an effort by her father to help the family better assimilate. Robin grows up unaware of the Robin Hood mythos which had fallen out of fashion in the United States. While in college, following the death of her father, Robin loses much of her spiritual grounding in her drive to succeed in American society. It is only when her life path collides head on with that of an elderly homeless man named John Lytle, that she begins to revive her soul purpose in life, one very much in line with her adopted name, and in the process discovers true romantic love.
